2021 Doubleback Chardonnay

"A finite production wine, this is always pure joy to make and drink (not just taste)! Picked early in the season, the color is golden straw. Aromatically Asian apple pear, fresh honey, green apple, and hints of wet hay bales and lemon zest. This wine is largely textured, tons of volume, and has perfect acid to frame it in spite of such a warm year in 2021. Ultra-rich and evocative, this hails from two clones of Chardonnay in the later ripening Mill Creek area of the Walla Walla Valley. This is another classic Chardonnay in this secret project of ours!"
